Do you want to become a professional medical transcriptionist?
Do you want to train and work at home but don't want to feel on your own?
Kamtek has designed a comprehensive medical transcription training program that allows you to study at home and also have the guidance and support of taking a class on campus. We assign each student an instructor who will monitor progress and provide frequent feedback, and students have access to their instructor via e-mail at any time during the course.

The Kamtek medical transcription course is a college level program that uses the same textbooks and practice tapes that are used by many excellent community and technical college transcription programs.

The Kamtek medical transcription course is a four-quarter (optional fifth quarter of advanced material), approximately 8 month, home study, state-of-the-art program utilizing the best textbooks and tapes available. The Kamtek course is an extensive program that prepares students to be qualified medical transcriptionists upon completion of the course.

We believe that a home study course should be as affordable as attending a training course at a community or technical college, and students should be comfortable with the financial commitment they are making. Therefore, we have divided the course into four affordable quarters of eight weeks each so students can sign up for and pay for one quarter at a time.

In order to insure success in the course, students receive:

  • Weekly instructor monitoring and feedback
  • 24-hour access to instructor assistance via e-mail
  • Assignment of an instructor who will follow your progress throughout the course
