We do not ship reference books with the lesson materials in order to keep the cost of the program affordable and so students can select their own references.     Recommended resources for the beginning transcriptionist. The purpose of this list is to assist new medical transcriptionists build their basic reference libraries without spending money unnecessarily. The Basic References section is a list of reference books and materials (including software) all transcriptionists should have in their library, no matter what specialty they are transcribing.
